We will teach you to become a professional DJ/MC with a schedule totaling 40 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction. Each student will be required to pass an exam at the end of the course and will earn a certificate of qualification.

This course is designed to give you all the basics you will need to get on track in the mobile entertainment industry.

Tim Hazelwood and Murray Flear of the Hitman Pro DJ service are your instructors. Tim has been a professional disc jockey for 20 years and is a contributing writer for many noteworthy DJ Publications including DJzone, Canadian DJ Magazine, Spectrum News and has contributed countless hours to the online DJ community in the form of chatroom discussions and web boards. Murray Flear has been a professional DJ for over 15 years and has a vast electronics knowledge that he is able to share with students in a method that is easy to understand. Murray boasts the he installed the very first Stereo Sound system in Canada.
  • Mixing and beatmixing techniques
  • DJ Equipment and Electronics (with detailed explanations of Watts, Ohms, Voltage, dB ratings and more...in simple terms that anyone can understand)
  • How to make informed purchases when buying your own equipment.
  • Repairs and how to avoid them in the first place.
  • Customer Service and it's importance
  • Canadian Copyright law and Other regulations important to the trade.
  • Basic lighting and Advanced lighting concepts and Equipment
  • The importance of "reading a crowd" and how to do it.

This course is limited to ten students per session.
Course fee $250.00
Students must bring writing materials and a calculator.
All other course materials will be provided Students must be 18 years of age or have written permission from parent/guardian to attend. A formal exam (written and practical) is completed at the end of the course in order to qualify for the course graduation certificate.
