Reviews for Alabama ALB36 6 String Banjo
Apr 13th, 2017
-Sounds good when played properly
-Loud enough to play with other acoustic instruments
-Small size and lightweight (similar weight as a standard full-size acoustic guitar)
-Resonator is easily detachable
-Stays in tune REALLY well, no strings broken since bought
-Strings are easily replacable at music stores (electric guitar strings)
-Flange has "teeth" so could make for a pretty good weapon in a self-defense scenario
-Flange has "teeth" so if you don't have the resonator on it can poke your lap a little bit
-Strings can sometimes come out of their spots on the bridge if you're wiggling the bridge around
-Bridge can wiggle around on the head, possibly causing buzzing and requiring readjustment
-Tailpiece might also cause buzzing, but can be fixed by messing around with the screws and stuff down there.
-Tailpiece seems like it's not very strong and could bend, so be careful when tinkering with it
-The triangular metal things where you clip on straps WILL bend off! I replaced them quite easily with some decent keyrings. I recommend putting more secure metal loops in so you don't end up having the strap break by surprise.
